Rahimat

Hi, I’m Rahimat Onize Shaibu, a UK-based Nigerian photographer and visual storyteller working across fine art, portrait, and event photography. My practice centres on storytelling through imagery, exploring themes of identity, culture, womanhood, and emotional expression. I’m drawn to creating portraits that feel intentional and expressive, using photography as a way to document presence, celebrate individuality, and create meaningful visual narratives. Alongside my personal artistic projects and exhibitions, I collaborate with individuals, creatives, and organisations to produce thoughtful and visually engaging imagery. My work is rooted in connection, whether capturing quiet personal moments or developing conceptual pieces that invite reflection and conversation. I’m excited to be part of a community that supports Black female photographers and looks forward to building creative relationships, collaborations, and shared growth.
