It’s common knowledge that there is a lack of diversity when it comes to alot of photography genres especially, press, sport and music, both with diversity and gender. When you don’t see yourself in these spaces it often then gives us the presence that we don’t belong there or it’s not something that we can do.
So for us to be able to give our members the opportunity to be in these spaces has been a great achievement. For a lot of us some of us don’t know what genre we want to cover so for some of the ladies it’s to gain the experience to see whether or not this is something for them whereas for others, they are already in the field and want to expand their portfolio and to be the next example for the next generation to be in the spaces and they are capable to be there.
