SisterHood Travelling Dress

2020 Is the year to support and challenge eachother. We aim to become even better photographers and simply connect with one another, thus the birth of ‘The Sisterhood Of The Travelling Dress’.

Through our Private Facebook group Tianna J-Williams Photography purposed that we do our own version of #TheTravellingDress.

What is the Travelling Dress Project? 

The Travelling Dress is a group project where one dress is photographed by a small group of photographers in their own style, within the allocated time. We noticed that the existing travelling dress projects lack cultural diversity so we decided that ours would be different by using African printed material. Ten members of the Uk Black Female Photographers Community were up for the challenge.

As a collective, we chose to go with an Akara Print material and had a dress made for the project by Tendai Collections.  Then it was all up to us individually to plan our photoshoots and concepts and here are the results…
